Film-maker Graham Hughes has become the first person to visit all 201 countries (plus 15 territories) in the world and stunningly managed to do it without flying, all captured in this inspiring 4-minute video.

Hughes, 33, began his epic world tour in 2009, starting in Brazil and travelled by taxi, train, and ship around the entire world, finishing in South Sudan and officially ending his trip in back in Russia after a 25-hour train journey in February this year.

Graham HughesGuinness World Record imposed strict rules on Graham Hughes’ attempt which included no private transport over large distances and no hitch-hiking.

You’re probably thinking this trip would have cost a lot though right? Wrong, Hughes managed to spend just £14,000 over the first two years and about £3,000 on his final leg – impressive or what?

But his trip wasn’t without peril, during his round the world trip Graham Hughes found himself on the wrong side of the bars in a prison cell in Congo for six days, only being released after intervention from the British consulate. You can watch some of his adventure captured for a television show this Friday on the National Geographic Adventure channel, info here: http://natgeotv.com/asia/grahams-world/about
