Arsenal‘s defeat at Manchester United didn’t much change the complexion of the top of the table, and didn’t rock the Gunners who remained five points clear of the competition, but the loss that one Arsenal fan has felt following his team’s defeat will leave a much more significant dent.
Henry Dhabasani from Uganda decided to put his house on Arsenal coming away from Old Trafford with a win, whilst his friend, United fan Rashid Yiga, put his Toyota Premio and erm… HIS WIFE on the line. According to reports in the Daily Mail (taken with a healthy pinch of salt), the outrageous bet was put in writing, witnessed by other fans, before kick-off and following the final whistle Dhabasani fainted as he realised he had just lost his home.
If reports are to be believed, the man who has three wives and five children, was thrown out of his home the following day by a group of Manchester United fans who came to back the victor’s claim to his prize.
Now that’s just bonkers!
