Following on the heels of it’s ground-breaking and trend-setting predecessor, Warner Brothers knew they had to go big with the sequel and from the looks of it, they’ve done exactly that and some. The film picks up where the first movie left off, and tells the story of Queen Gorgo (Wife of Leonidas) taking revenge for the invasion of Greece by evil he/she Xerxes that saw her husband killed on the battlefield with his 299 Spartan brothers. Eva Green also returns to reprise her role as Artemisia along with Xerxes and other familiar faces, in what looks like the first true blockbuster of 2014, expected to hit cinemas in early March.
