Chelsea Manager Mourinho pays tribute to Portuguese legend of football Eusebio who will be buried this week after suffering a heart attack at the age of 71, we join in and salute one of football’s greatest stars.
The funeral will take place in the Portuguese capital Lisbon where mourners are expected to gather in their thousands to pay their respects as his coffin is carried around the famous Luz Stadium as part of the ceremony. Originally from former Portuguese colony Mozambique, Eusebio played for Benfica, as well as the Portuguese national team, scoring 41 goals and won the golden boot during the ’66 World Cup in England.
Eusebio took his place among the greats of football when he retired in 1978 with an impressive scoring record of 733 goals in 745 professional matches. Portugal has declared three days of national mourning following his death on Sunday.
