Emerging British acts All We Are and Tropics played two exclusive live sets at No.5 Denmark Street to help launch Relentless Energy Drinks new Mango Ultra flavour. The kick-off party for the new zero calorie mango variant was supported by Sofar Sounds – the global music community renowned for putting on one-off intimate gigs in unexpected spaces.
In the brand’s iconic Denmark Street store in the heart of London’s ‘tin pan alley’ music district, and with a capacity of just 100, the evening was a chance to see two exciting acts that look certain to make even bigger waves in 2015.
Liverpool based three-piece, All We Are, blended their ambient soul and psychedelic R’n’B in a truly captivating style playing a stripped back set for the very first time. The band opened with I Wear You and their beautifully drowsy Utmost Good, before playing a selection of tracks and closing with their latest single Keep Me Alive. They are set to feature heavily on this year’s festival circuit.
In addition, multi-talented singer/songwriter/keyboard/guitar player Tropics, aka Chris Ward, played a typically hypnotic 45 minute set. Kicking off with Blame before playing Indigo, Torrents Of Spring, Kwiat, Home Consonance and he closed with Gloria.
Alongside the two enthralling performances, the newly renovated venue also played host to a mesmerising light installation. Specially created to resemble a tropical mango grove, the series of lights suspended from the ceiling changed colours and patterns in time with the music.
The night further supports the Relentless ethos of providing amazing live experiences while supporting emerging creative talents, following its renowned dance stage at Leeds festival and Relentless Live event, both of which gave unsigned acts the opportunity to perform in front of thousands.
Relentless Mango Ultra is the latest zero calorie variant from Relentless, making it the seventh in the range.
