Tottenham Hotspurs revealed their new 2013-14 football kit to a packed audience in Shoreditch yesterday.
Team Captain Michael Dawson, Jermain Defo, Brad Friedel and Welsh hitman Gareth Bale broke through a fabricated wall to show of their new home and away kits, that features a traditional white top and dark “Cadet” blue shorts for a slightly throwback feel. Although, the simplicity of the home kit is broken up by a large HP sponsor logo in the middle.
The away kit and goal keeper uniform are slightly more lairy affairs with an almost illuminated Orange for Friedel and a vibrant “Capri” blue for the outfield players. Whilst all of the kits created by Under Armour feature a subtle embossed Houndstooth pattern, HeatGear sealed hems and will be their lightest and fastest drying kits to date.
But perhaps the most encouraging is the heavy presence of Gareth Bale at the launch and in the team’s promotional materials, perhaps suggesting rumours of a move to Real Madrid may be a little premature.
