London Comic Con had it’s biggest year yet that saw over 80,000 popular culture fans descend up a sun-soaked eXcel Arena during the bank holiday weekend.

There were tons of special guests on hand to meet their fans including Camilla Luddington (Lara Croft/ True Blood), Mark Meer (Commander Shepard, Mass Effect), Jason Flemyng (X-Men/Snatch), Tom Baker (Doctor Who, The 4th Doctor), NCIS Los Angeles stars Renee Felice Smith and Barrett Foa (NCIS: LA, Nell and Eric), Rob Van Dam (WWE/TNA) and many more stars, directors, producers and writers.

Florrie who attended on Sunday, said: “Last summer I went to the Manchester MCM [Expo], but it certainly didn’t prepare me for just how huge the London event would be! There were so many incredible outfits and the work the cosplayers put into creating their costumes was absolutely astounding!”

And we have to agree, London Comic Con attracts the largest gathering of cosplay fanatics anywhere in the UK and the levels people take it to are simply out of this world. The Black White Ranger fitted in perfectly, and as he walked around the arena people were giving him high fives, offering hugs and asking for pictures. The best pic of the day had to be with Daft Punk though, or at least two gentlemen who looked exactly like them? – Who knows, all we do know is that if it wasn’t them – their costume KICKED SOME SERIOUS ARSE!!!

Outside the venue, people lined the steps of the eXcel, soaking up the sun and chilling, while others danced to drum & bass and rock in front of the outside stage. The near total dedication to cosplay made you feel as though you were in a fantasy land. One minute you’re pointing out The Mask who’s sat next to Micky and Minnie Mouse in Star Wars attire and the next you’re walking past Deadpool, Spider man and half of the X-Men posing for pictures.
