Help Build A Gigantic Rubik’s Cube That Will Travel the Globe!

cube14_big

Über geeks at the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey are raising money to build a fully functioning gigantic rubik’s cube that will travel the world for seven years. Liberty Science Centre CEO Paul Hoffman who just so happens to be mates with Erno Rubik who inveted the timeless classic puzzle toy launched a campaign via crowd funding site IndieGoGo to help get the funds for the potentially awesome project, although the name is a bit…hmmm…Hoffman is call the giant cube a “Groovik’s Cube” – but we’ll let that slide if he pulls it off.
If the required $500,000 of funding is met, the world touring exhibition will kick off next year at the LSC to celebrate 40 years of Rubik’s Cube goodness, but unfortunately with only 31 days to go on the campaign only $2,682 has been raised (as of 16/06/13). Perks for donating include an hour of control, T-Shirts/Hoodies, Rubik’s cube masterclasses/tours, and having yourself made into a Rubik’s cube.

I might donate, just to get one of those melting cube T-shirts – they’re dope!
