You clicked this expecting some kind of punchline right? Well no, this is for real, Actor/Comedian Eddie Murphy is also a musician (in case you didn’t know – apparently this is old news) and is releasing new music ahead of his forthcoming album, 9, pencilled for release in early 2014, his first album in 20 years.
This first single from 9, Red Light is a Reggae-ish socially conscious tracks and features none other than Snoop L-I-O-N-D-O-G (doesn’t quite have the same ring to it). Speaking to press recently about his sliver screen absence, Eddie Murphy said: “All I’ve been doing is making music…I haven’t been working on films, haven’t been developing movies, any of that shit.”
