The Minnesota Vikings have touchdown in London and their first stop took them to Wembley Stadium for a community day with school children from the local London Borough of Brent.

Before they even stopped at their hotel, the entire Vikings team, coaching staff and cheerleaders hosted some of London’s luckiest kids for a day of NFL inspired activities and drills. Adam, 11, who took part in the punting drill, said: “It was a really special day, I’ve never seen American football before and now I love it! The players are really funny and so big!”

We think he may have been talking about hall-of-fame-bound pass rusher Jared Allen (pictured above), who towered above the kids and most of the press in attendance at 6ft 6ins. At the end of the session, Minnesota Vikings co-owner Mark Wilf encouraged the children to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day, whilst star-player, Adrian Peterson said: “get away from your games consoles and from in front of your TVs and get outside.

“I played out with my friends all the time and that is what helped me to be the fast, fit and strong NFL player that I am today.”

The Minnesota Vikings are in London ahead of their International Series game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend at Wembley, with both teams in search of a win, it will be a heck of a battle come this Sunday so if you can get a chance to get tickets, this is a game you do not want to miss UK!
