STARRED UP is the brutal and brilliant film telling the story of Eric (Jack O’Connell: This is England, Harry Brown, Eden Laketo an adult prison where his father, Neville (Ben Mendolsohn: The Place Beyond the Pines, The Dark Knight Rises), is also an inmate. Caged amongst the older, more violent prisoners, Eric, disaffected and disengaged, threatens to tear the whole prison apart with his seemingly senseless rage.
This is easily one of the most powerful dramas I’ve ever watched and I would go as far as to describe it as the most important British film since This is England.
