Premier Inn’s Purple Sauce – The Tastiest New Condiment Around

Ed 3

Move over Ketchup, there’s a new top sauce in town as Premier Innlaunches an assault Britain’s breakfast tables with the introduction of its new Purple Sauce, created in collaboration with expert chef Ed Baines.

What business does a hotel chain have making sauce you might ask? Well for one, they put on a pretty good breakfast and Purple Sauce is the PERFECT companion to key morning meal ingredients like bacon, sausages and eggs.

90% of Brits eat sauce each week and over a third (35%) of us are ‘obsessed’ with it.”

The sauce’s purple colour doesn’t come from food colourings but rather from its blackberry base, which is fused with a range of natural ingredients. The additive-free recipe includes cracked black pepper, crushed chillies, toasted cumin and smoked salt. Its cleverly crafted flavours mean Purple Sauce goes perfectly with pretty much anything smoked, scrambled or fried, whether on a full English breakfast or a delicious sarnie.

Crafted with the help of expert chef Ed Baines, Purple Sauce is designed specifically with breakfast in mind and enhances the hotel chain’s breakfast menu no end. Doing its research, Premier Inn found that 90% of Brits eat sauce each week and over a third (35%) of us are ‘obsessed’ with it, so once the people get a taste, we expect Purple Sauce to go down a treat.

Purple Sauce is the perfect accompaniment to a cooked breakfast. Its smoky flavours really work well with meat – particularly pork – and its underlying fruity flavour leaves a delicious aftertaste that leaves you satisfied.

“It’s been great working with Premier Inn to help create the sauce. I really believe in Purple Sauce and I hope the public enjoy it.” ~ Ed Baines

Keith Hudspith, Head of Food & Beverage for Premier Inn, commented: “The sauce will be available in all of our hotels and restaurants and we really hope it will encourage even more people – whether they’re guests or not, to join us for breakfast to give the Purple Sauce a try.”

Purple Sauce has been created to complement Premier Inn’s extensive breakfast offering – including the full Premier Inn Breakfast, which is available from just £8.75, and is also suitable for vegetarians (if they’re skipping the full English of course).

Purple Sauce is available from today @ Premier Inn hotels nationwide.
