Olverum Bath Oil Soothes Aching Muscles

You shouldn’t need an excuse to treat yourself, no doubt, you work your butt off week in, week out and in between your shift and trying to stay fit you’re body is probably aching, crying out for some relaxation.

Well we’ve stumbled across a nice little remedy for aches and pains that it would be criminal not to share with you. Olverum bath oil has apparently been going for years, so I guess we’re late to the party but in case you were also in the dark, you can thank us later.

Made from a combo of 10 essential oils, Olverum is one of the most soothing bath oils I’ve ever come across and I’ve seen my fair share, my mother’s a Buddhist. Olverum was created by a German wine merchant, Franz Otto Klein, and he was specifically interested in the beneficial properties of natural essential oils. The bath oil he created after years of research contains extracts from the following plants: Pine, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Juniper, Lavandin, Lemon Peel, Siberian Fir Needle, Exotic Verbena, Lime, Germanium and Rosemary – all blended together to create a therapeutic aroma that stimulates blood circulation, relieving stress and aiding relaxation.

As someone who often has trouble winding down after a long day, and is tormented by muscle pains, the calming scent of Olverum helped me get a long night’s sleep. And although I’m sceptical about aromatherapy and other related so-called treatments, my body was noticeably more relaxed after a soak in this lovely stuff.

Created in Germany, but now owned and made in Britain, Olverum comes in two sizes 125ml (25 baths) RRP 23.50 or 200ml RRP £36.95, and it can be bought at the company’s website Olverum.com or select stores, including Harvey Nichols, Fenwick and House of Fraser (Online).
