Developed by Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles, the “Mustang Mach-E 1400 Prototype is a demonstration in the “art of the possible” according to the press announcement. This versions seven engines significantly out-spec the production Mustang Mach-E, which only has dual motors. Under the chassis, the 1400 Prototype’s seven engines are configured with three attached to the front differential and four attached and layered at the rear. The two banks of motors are connected by a single driveshaft, designed to deliver the best balance between power and flexibility.

The chassis itself is built from lightweight, organic composite fibres. It can be customised to suit both drift and track configs and tweaked to offer improved downforce. Ford claims it can deliver over 1000kg at 160mph. This one-off model has a hydraulic handbrake, optimised for drifting. And it comes in a white Mustang Mach-E GT frame, which can offer front, rear or all-wheel drive. Its power can be configured to deliver to either both axels or split evenly across them. It also features an innovative breaking system that captures power during braking and also offers ABS and enhanced stability.
