Creepy corpses in neon cobwebs are among chilling new installations at the immersive trail Halloween at Chiswick House & Gardens from Friday October 14.
The illuminated after-dark trail, which casts the 18th century property in an eerie light, runs from 14-31 October 2022 and enables family and friends to wander from one ghostly space to another.
Enter the haunted graveyard where you will find a Victorian undertaker, surrounded by creaking coffins, spooky skulls and beastly bones. – can you hear the tap, tap, tapping?
Make your way into the Witches’ Covenstead where more creepy installations await, such as a cauldron, ram’s skulls, metal mushrooms, real pumpkins and shepherd crooks.
Along the way you will glimpse a headless horseman, live actors, fire performers and be sure to watch out for the witch and other characters lurking in the shadows. Adding to the atmosphere, listen out for shrieks in the night, witches’ cackles, sudden screams and thunderclaps.
Rozanna Colquhoun, senior commercial manager at Chiswick, said: “We were drawn to the concept of hosting a Halloween trail as it’s a fun, interactive event that showcases the gardens in an innovative way, highlighting the historical features of the gardens with a spooky Halloween twist.”

The immersive trail will follow a route through the beautiful gardens of the English Heritage property in south west London.
Watch the flickering flames, stomp through the crisp autumn leaves and find daring fire artists and grinning pumpkins aglow, amidst a host of ominous characters.
