Desperados and UKF went on search for some of the hottest aspiring DJs, artists, designers and promoters from across the country. Once they found the talent they were searching for they had them mentored by some of the industry’s top professionals including Pavan from Foreign Beggars.
Then to put them to the test, each talent was put through a series of challenges, working together to create large-scale city takeovers; parties that are specifically designed to express what their city means to them, in the loudest, proudest and most impressive ways possible. The build-up parties took place in London, Manchester and Bristol, culminating in one of the parties of the year which took place at Building 6 @ The O2.
With the likes of Sub Focus, Joker, Flava D and Dimension in attendance, the night was a guaranteed to be a madness from start to finish and it delivered on every level. The night kicked off at 10pm, so obviously we arrived at midnight. And we thoroughly enjoyed the night’s carnival of mixed-media art and ribcage-rocking bass and beats, all the way until 5am (it finished at 6am) but we were fried and the underground had started working again so it was definitely our time..
