Next week Friday 14 sees the launch of Swindle‘s second LP, Long Live The Jazz on Mala’s Deep Medi imprint, and to celebrate, Butterz and BassLaced are throwing an epic launch party @ Fire in Vauxhall.
The launch party is headlined by a debut live set from Swindle who will be fusing all of his musical influences together with modern day Grime and Dubstep resulting in live interpretations of old favourites and future classics from the new album such as Do The Jazz, Forest Funk and Ignition.
He has also gone to great lengths to curate the line-up and has invited some of his peers both past and present to celebrate the momentous occasion with him. First on the list is D&B icon Roni Size whose reputation as a pioneer in the genre comes as a result of his knack for effortlessly live musical elements into club music and an impressive back catalogue that boasts hits such as Brown Paper Bag.
Swindle’s fellow Deep Medi brethren Silkie & Quest will be joining forces for a back-to-back set whilst Von D will be laying down some of his new bits which are due to be release on Get Darker later this year. Rounding off things are Butterz mainstays Terror Danjah and Elijah & Skilliam
Licked Beatz will be handling affairs in room two and have invited Jungle legend Uncle Dugs to school the masses in the roots of the UK genre alongside new talent such as Moony and Wen whilst residents Rattus Rattus, Offkey and Benny Digital round off proceedings.
