VR and 360 Theatre at The Photography Show 2017

VR and 360 content creation will be showcased in a big way at The Photography Show 2017, in an exciting new theatre stage

John Nassari - VR and 360

The Photography Show, which runs from March 18-21 at the NEC in Birmingham, will draw thousands of image creation fans and professionals as all of the leading photo/video brands show off the latest and greatest image-capturing technology. But the development of a new VR and 360° Theatre has got us most excited. The new stage will give attendees a chance to learn more about the world of VR and 360 content creation through talks and creative workshops held by leaders in the field.

Best of all, each session in the new VR and 360 theatre are included in the cost of show tickets (starting at £10.95), which is great value for money. 360 Wedding Photography pioneer John Nasarri will talk about his successful 360° interactive wedding photography/video business, while videographer Nick Driftwood will offer advice on the camera technology needed to create content with a 360° field-of-view effectively.

Among the great activities set to take place in the VR and 360 theatre is Pete James’ and Mat Collishaw’s project Thresholds: Looking at The Past Through The Future, which will give viewers a chance to take a walk through a defining moment in photographic history via a VR exhibition. There will also be talks from UAV and drone specialists, discussing what benefits 360° content can have for businesses through VR tours.

With VR and 360 gathering a huge amount of steam in the commercial world of content production, the new theatre looks set to be one of the biggest things at this year’s Photography Show and one of the reasons we would highly recommend the show.
