Lady Lykez Isn’t Moving To The Back With Follow Up Single ‘Rosa Parks’

Lady Lykez put herself on the radar with her infectious and cheeky (pun intended) summer hit “I love my butt” that racked up over half a million hits on YouTube and became a staple on national radio playlists.

This time round she’s evoking the spirit of equal rights and anti-racism protester Rosa Parks with a single of the same name that bangs hard and just like the lady who inspired it, shows that Lady Lykez isn’t going to be pushed to the back of the bus, or pile in this case.

Speaking about the name of the song, Lady Lykez said: “Rosa Parks is a very inspirational woman to me, I look up to her as a strong confident women who was a pioneer. I’ve used her story of sitting at the front of the bus, as a reference to my music and how it has inspired me to push forward. Over the years I’ve found it quite hard to get my music out there and to keep pushing, but now I’m starting to achieve a lot and gain recognition, and doing things on the same stage as other successful artists. I’m movin forward now and I’m not ready to go back anytime soon!!”

Rosa Parks is bass-filled, heavy Hip-Hop track that features “old-skool” synths and Lykez dominates with tongue-twisting and equally hard flows, topped off by some smooth vocals, proving that this one dynamic artist and definitely one to watch. Check out the track below.
