The Great British Craft Beer Challenge kicks off this Saturday!

Profile picture
Once again, the challenge is on for Britain and it’s craft beer industry as it plans to compete against the world’s most rare and interesting ales at the British Craft Beer Challenge 2014. The series of events will be lovingly hosted London Fields Brewery‘s The Brewhouse in Hackney and is spread across five dates this summer.
Round one kicks off on Saturday 10th May by testing the north / south divide. Some of Britain’s best brews will be pitted against each other to decide who will represent the sovereign state when they are judged against beers from across the globe.

bcbc-logo-200As well as a wide choice of ales to please the pallet of Britain’s most hardened beer enthusiast and casual beer drinkers alike, the festival offers something for everyone. Children’s entertainment, pub games and home brewing demonstrations will all be available throughout the day. In the evening, Sell a Door Theatre Company Ltd will host a unique & communal Gaelic Ceilidh with music from The Ceilidh Liberation Front.
The Brewhouse’s brand new kitchen will provide pop up food stalls around the venue. Head Chef & Hackney Local, Jess Simmons has created a Great British beer matching menu with Pies, Bedfordshire Clangers (a type of pasty with sweet and savoury fillings at either end), Pizzas topped with homegrown ingredients & posh pub snacks.
The British Craft Beer Challenge celebrates all that is great about contemporary craft beer.
